David Nevill Jr, our founding father, used to spend his afternoon pondering life’s important questions like;  what am I having for lunch, why does a lizard’s tail always grow back, and what exactly is the airspeed velocity of an unladen swallow? It was during one of these afternoons that Megan Nylander shocked him with some truth. “Dave stop making us all hungry posting your lunch on Facebook and write a damned food blog already.” Lightbulb! David’s interest in food has long been a topic of conversation. He’ll gladly spend hours discussing the difference between Ketchup and Catsup, or the fundamental components of sriracha. So, naturally, it makes sense that Dave take this passion and invest some of his free time into sharing with the public his love and knowledge for all things food. He was up for the challenge, but he couldn’t do it alone. After reaching out to his favorite foodie friends, Dave managed to convince some of Orlando’s best eaters and writers to get out there, experience, and contribute. Dave asked only one thing of his minions; that they be brutally honest and dedicated to provide the citizens of Central Florida with the best of the best. And that, my friends, is how Orlando Food Scene came to be.

Our mission is to provide Orlando area residents with sincere feedback while exploring the restaurants, food trucks, events, and bars integral to Central Florida’s “Food Scene.”
