Napasorn Thai – Time To Upgrade Your Lunch?

Thai Iced Tea

There is a cure for the boring lunch your taste buds have grown tired of, and it’s Napasorn Thai Restaurant. Located in the heart of downtown Orlando on Pine and Court, Napasorn offers traditional Thai at a downtown pace.

I’ve truly lost count of all the Thai places that I’ve been to here in Central Florida. Napasorn was one of the last places on my list, and my experience right up at the top of the list. I arrived a little before Noon to find the place fairly well packed. I managed to get a small table off to the side of the entrance, which gave me a cool spot to keep an eye on the bustling lunch scene. I checked out the daily lunch special and proceeded to browse the menu.
I started my meal with a Thai iced tea ($3.00), which makes a perfect complement to hot weather and spicy food. The tea could have been a little stronger, as it was overpowered by the sweetness of the condensed milk and sugar.

Next up was the crispy spring rolls ($3.95). Stuffed with ground chicken and veggies, they had more flavor than I expected. I also ordered a side of the sate gai ($6.95), which is the traditional marinated chicken on a skewer. Served with peanut sauce, this tasty appetizer is a great starter to share with your group.Spring Rolls

For the main course, I had a craving for something spicy. I went with the Panang Fish ($8.95) which came with a house salad. Panang curry sauce has become my go to favorite, and I’ve had it at almost every Thai place in town. The Napasorn curry was darker in color than I’ve seen, and when ordered “Thai Hot”, will absolutely have you in tears. The fish was well cooked, and was accompanied by bell peppers, snow peas, and fresh basil.

Napasorn can accommodate large lunch groups, and has a second story seating area if you’re looking for something a little more intimate. My meal was served with a smile, and I was in and out in less than 30 minutes. The décor inside could use a refresh for sure, but the food and service more than make up for it. If you don’t have time to dine in, they also have to go service with a separate menu listed on their website.
